Flagyl and Cipro for abscess?

So the GI put me on Flagyl and Cipro for an abscess for 2 weeks. He pushed my next dose of Humira. I'm scared about taking it and not taking the Humira. What are your experiences with Flagyl and Cipro and do they work well for abscesses?

Flagyl not only cured my abscess but ended my flare and jump-started my remission. While on the antibiotic I decided to take S. Boulardii which is a probiotic yeast immune to antibiotics to maintain beneficial gut flora. Since then I have been taking generous amounts of probiotics every day and because of diet changes have remained in remission.

took both various times for short and long durations to no avail. like all meds, some people respond, some dont.

that combo works really well for me but do end up with bad oral thrush so need to up probiotics and take nilstat for thrush as well

I was put on Flagyl for my abscesses for a month. The infection cleared up, but my abscesses are still being held open by seton bands, although they are no loner painful since there is no infection. I hope Flagyl works for you!!
