Oh, I had a feeling something was going on Gail, you've been feeling pretty sick lately. Lets hope
the GI gets things back to normal soon. Seems like there's a lot of us flaring big time right now.

Thanks Vicky and Habs!! I am so bummed, and I am feeling stuff I haven't felt in a longtime. The diarrhea and cramps, ugh!! I would rather have constipation I think. LOL My poor little bottom was so raw yesterday that I pulled out my diaper cream, and ahhhhhh....

Have a BIG family get together tonight at my favorite restaurant for my nephews high school graduation. And my little grandson that is moving far away next month, is staying with us forever (okay for as long as he Mom will let him stay:) I hope I feel better later. The restaurant should be okay for my tummy because its a seafood place. I won't be able to get my favorite dish (a little spicy) but I can probably eat some grilled fish and rice and I should be okay. Just hope that the diarrhea doesn't hit afterwards.

Everything I eat goes right thru me. But I took some Bentyl this morning for my cramps and I think it helped some becuz I went 3 times before I even left the house and had a egg and ham sandwich once I got to work and other than the crampiness, I haven't had more d yet. Lets hope it stays that way.

Its been a longtime since I felt actual Crohns symptoms. Most of problems in the past years have been from surgeries and IBS not the disease itself. But its definetly my CD this time. Oh well, such is life with us Crohnies. Hugs!

I know you have been feeling crappy lately, but I was hoping it was just the after effects of all the antibiotics. This is a bummer. I know you think steroids are in your future, but what about some of the newer drugs? Or are you thinking that you just need to do a medium length course? I know you were on Imuran/6MP at one point, is that no longer an option for you? I am hoping that if they find I need to move on to something in addition to my current regimen I will be able to go on to Remicade. It has been thrown around a few times, but ....


I hope you are able to enjoy some of your weekend activities without too much trouble from the old CD.

Oh, that is bad news, Nanners. I was hoping this was some other bug. How long have you been in remission? Any ideas what set it off?

Thanks all!! I actually had a pretty good time lastnight. I think its becuz I didn't eat. Just didn't feel like it, and the food wasn't served until 9 pm and I was worried if I ate that late it might cause me more problems. Plus I didn't want to spend the night in the bathroom.

I am feeling okay today and I think its because I didn't eat too much yesterday. Still crampy but I think meds like Bentyl is working to help calm them down. I am hoping that maybe a quick round of pred or Entocort will quiet things back down. Usually is what it has taken before if I wasn't obstructed. And I do not feel any obstruction symptoms. I have had a bit of nausea but I think that is just related to the flare up.

@Zanne, yes I will go back onto the 6mp if thats what he wants. I didn't have any side effects last time other than the hair shedding, but I am now on folic acid and that should help in that area. I am only taking 800mcg right now and it has slowed the hairshedding WAY down since I started it. If I needed stronger I would just ask for the prescription strength and that should work. I don't like feeling like this, so I will do whatever is necessary to not feel like this, and if 6mp is the answer then thats what I will do.

And to those thinking Gail try LDN, if I did not have the chronic pain issues I do, I might have given it a shot. But I need my pain meds so thats out for me. I just want to feel better, so whatever it takes I want to get back into my remission. This last one lasted for about 5-6 years, so hoping to get back to that soon.

Yeah Leslie, isn't it crazy what stress does to us. Every single time I have that much stress, I flare. I was worried it was going to happen, and it has. Oh well, if I need the roids, I need them. I just want to get this over with asap. Thanks for the hugs and support.

So sorry you are back in a flare. It does seem like you've had a lot to deal with lately. Hopefully, some meds will fix you up quickly so you don't have to suffer too long. Be well and take care.
