Help with Canasa for the uninsured

Just wanted to let people know, after struggling to pay the insane amount they charge for Canasa without insurance(upwards of $400 for a months supply) there is a better way. After looking on their website and calling their patient assistant program, and a 10 min phone conversation I now only pay 15 bucks for a month..and available instantly. No apps, or waiting for a card or anything else to come in the mail. They just give you some ID numbers over the phone and done. I can't believe it's never been suggested by my GI, after most of the time having to go without and suffer through, or else end up on steroids. I don't know for a fact that it's that easy or beneficial for everybody, but they're really helpful and courteous over the phone and it's def gonna save me a lot of money. It'd be nice if I could find the same for asacol, as it's another killer, but haven't come across one yet. Anyway, hopefully this will help some that need it.

Thanks for the links. I'm actually on asacol HD now. That'd be great if they had some sort of program like with the Canasa. I found a number on the site and will def give them a call tomorrow, as I didn't see anywhere you could apply directly on line. I know with all the medications it's a struggle even with insurance, and practically impossible without it. Thanks for the info!
