Dizziness and prednisolone

I've been reading this board for a while but only just joined the site. I'm 25, was diagnosed with Crohn's 2 years ago and last week had my worst ever relapse, ending up in A&E. I'm now back at home and on prednisolone on top of my standard medication (mesalazine & azathioprine).

I was wondering - I'm getting very bad dizziness, does anyone else get this on pred? It comes and goes but I'm feeling very very faint and dizzy right now. I guess some of that might be due to the Crohn's (I've lost 2 kilos/about 4 lbs since Friday) and not absorbing nutrition but could the drugs be making it worse?

Does anyone have any advice on what I could do to minimise the dizziness? Any foods that have worked for you? I'm on a low residue diet right now.

hi melinds, thanks for replying so fast. My appetite is pretty much nil - I am trying, having porridge for breakfast and lean meat/fish, but it's hard when everything makes me feel nauseous. I'm not a fan of pred either, but I've been on it once before and it really did fix me so I'm keen to stay on it if it means the pain stops! The dizziness just seems a lot worse this time.
