Prednisone and hair loss...

I was on prednisone until about a month ago. A little under a week after starting it I started losing a lot of hair, which I know is a known side effect. My question is that for those of you who have lost hair on prednisone, how long after you stopped taking it did the hair loss last? I've been off for about a month now, and I'm still having clumps of hair fall out...do you think this is still related to the prednisone or something else? Thanks for any help you can offer!

It could also be related to lack of nutrition or other Crohns meds. I take 800 mcg Folic Acid daily and that has helped immensley to slow it down. Takes a few weeks to work, but it works. Hugs!

I've been off prednisone since Dec 30th, after taking it for 3 months. I think it took at least 3 or 4 months before my hair stopped falling out like crazy.
