I know that Crohn's comes with all kinds of annoying aches and pains... but this is a new one for me. And it's a doozy!

For the past week or so, I have been having the absolute worse back pain. It's in the very lower part of my back and it feels like someone attacked my back with a sledgehammer. The pain is awful!  It hurts to walk, it hurts to sit, it just hurts!  I've tried pain relievers, heating pads, warm baths nothing is helping :(

Any suggestions? 

Don't get  me wrong, I'm use to having back pain, usually it's just a dull ache, but what I've been experiencing lately is full blown pain!  HELP!

I feel your pain! I had lower back/hips pain for years, it would jump from one site to the other. In the morning I was in so much pain I could not get out of bed! I am taking Humira for my other Crohn's issues and my back/hip pain is a lot better.

could it be kidney stones by chance? im sorry you're hurting :(

kidney stones or something else.

When you see your doc ask for a PT script. I found for the arthritis in my spine and sciatic issues it really helps. In the mean time, try some moist heat to see if it helps relieve at least some of your pain. Hope you feel better soon.

I had been having terrible back pain for a month there in may and i ended up being taken into hospital, it turns out my large intestine was so swollen and inflammed that it was squashing the ureter tube from the kidney to the bladder, but it took them a long time to figure this out. I didnt know that such a thing could actually happen from having crohns disease, if you can you should get an xray done to rule it out.

it's possible your hamstrings are so tight that it hurts lower back, Yoga. or not

When my intestines are going crazy I have excruciating lumbar pain. I read somewhere that cold interrupts the pain signals to the brain so I sit in my chair with an ice pack against my lower back for 30 minutes at a time. It seems to work for me. Chilly tho-
