methotrexate after nothing else works

My physician has prescribed me methotrexate.
I was assuming imuran plus humira every two weeks

now I'm going to assume humira every week, plus methotrexate.

What should I expect, I'm really afraid. :(

Has anyone experience with methotrexate?

I take the same combo.  The Methotrexate is painless when injecting, which is nice.  Though it's intramuscular so it's slightly trickier to do the injection yourself (assuming you're doing MTX shots, not the pills).

I have so far had no trouble with MTX, though I often feel really tired after it.  There are a lot of potential annoying side-effects though - luckily our does is small so they are less likely to occur.  Good luck!  I hope it works for you and I hope you handle it well with no adverse effects. :)

I was on methotrexate for 8 years - tablet form for 6 years then injections for 2. Worked very well for me along with intermittent remicade, now i'm just on Humira. Tablet form seems to cause more side effects in some people such as nausea which doesn't seem to occur as much with the injections. I found this easy to overcome though by taking at night and taking an anti sickness tablet too. Staying hydrated is really important as it will help your liver process it. My injections were subcutaneous and only hurt if I injected too quickly. Good luck, hope it works as well doe you as it did for me!
