This topic is such a great one! I thought THIS was just me! I work about 40minutes from home so I must wake up early. On days when I have REALLY bad bm's I am either late or running in the door! The mornings are just absolutely horrible. Even with the medication I am on, oddly. I take my Entocort in the morning before food. I try to eat a light breakfast- bland cereal or protein shake. I had a horrible BM right before I leave, only to have another horrible one within an hour of getting to work. I am thankful the amount of times before noon that I go has decreased since the Entocort. Nausea usually sets in about 10am and eat some kind of cereal bar or fiber bar to help. Have a lunch and run to the bathroom almost 15 minutes after eating. My co-workers are well trained in why I go missing after lunch. :) I do like to brush my teeth also. :)
By the time I get home, I feel better- not perfect but better. But I guess with Crohn's we don't aim for perfection or normality. I usually eat a good/decent dinner . . . only to start the morning process all over again. I sometimes wish I could starve myself at night to prevent my morning flares. :( The weekends suck too because I wake up, feel fine, go out (grocery shopping, etc), then usually have to turn around and go back home to use the bathroom.
Oooh the life! :)
