Hi all, after my unsuccessful tries with LDN and slight improvement with Wellbutrin for Crohn's, I have finally found remission with Remicade. I had my third loading dose a couple of weeks ago. I had immediate, measurable improvements days after my first dose, but now it feels incredible. I can eat everything, don't feel bloated, no pain at all. My symptoms before Remi were moderate, with cramping being the worst of it but also suffered from other external manifestations of Crohn's including night sweats and Erythema Nodosum. I know the risks of this drug but am grateful for this new quality of life and just hope that I won't develop antibodies to Remicade anytime soon, as I've seen that happen to some people. I have had no infusion-related reactions other than being tired the day of the infusion, probably from the Benadryl. I have more energy so I can workout, and can eat a bigger variety of foods so I feel this may balance some of the negative effects of the drug. I hope that everyone suffering from this terrible disease can find what's right for him/her. I hate taking any meds, even Tylenol, and wasted countless hours on fear of starting Remicade, when in hindsite I should have been more afraid of the potential damage being done without it.
