Suprep

I am not concerned about the taste.  I will plug my nose and drink it.  Big deal.  What I am concerned about are the side effects on pg. 23 of the SUPREP instruction booklet that read: SUPREP Bowel Prep Kit and other osmotic bowel preparations can cause serious side effects, including:

Serious loss of body fluid (dehydration) and changes in blood salts (electrolytes) in your blood.  These can cause:

-abnormal heartbeats that can cause death

-seizures.  This can happen even if you have never had a seizure.

-kidney problems

The last time I took the pills to prep for a colonoscopy, I ended up on the bathroom floor all day in a cold sweat.  Needless to say, I never even got to drink the liquid.  I have a sensitive stomach and drinking this potent drink first thing in the morning really scares me.  I don't want to pass out again.

SUPREP turned out to be alright. The hardest part is drinking it, but it helps to plug your nose and use a straw. I managed to get all the fluids down without experiencing any unpleasant side effects. No nausea, no cramps, no dizzy feeling and no cold sweats. It worked very well, even when I drank the second dose early in the morning of the second prep day. I would use it again.
