Anyone overheat with crohns disease?

I find I am always hot, everyone that touches me says my skin is hot, has anyone every experierienced this or is it all in my head?

it used to happen to me when i would have a bowel movement and i also used to have hot flashes but it is never constant.

im sure its not in your head. did you take your temperature? is it a fever from inflammation? has it changed over the years or were you always hot to the touch?

i hope you consulted your doctor!

I am extremely heat intolerant, and I am usually hot while others are comfortable. If people around me are freezing, that's when i'm comfortable.

Hi are you drinking plenty water. We can dyhydrate and overheat.
so remember one thing ppl with out Cd drinks any average 4 glasses of
water. We with CD have to double that amount.

i am ALWAYS warm...unless i'm cold. haha.
seriously- during the day it seems unbearable in my office and i'm always sweating.
when i take my temp it's always way below "normal"

I have always been one that gets overheated easy, but have noticed that I'm even more prone to overheating now. I've always been a heavy sweater when I do any type of physical labor and especially when it's hot and humid (I live in Arkansas, so that's most of the year). My wife will constantly be turning the temp up in the house because she's cold. I keep a 6 inch electric fan clipped to my desk on me almost all the time. I sleep with the ceiling fan directly over our bed going and turn on a 16 inch floor fan blowing directly on me. I have to watch getting overheated because then I get a headache and nausea.

My body is not hot, but if the weather is really warm it will make me feel sick if I get too hot. Yuck!

Leave it to me to be the odd man out!!! I"m almost always cold. I'm happy in a long sleeve turtle neck and blue jeans or even a sweat shirt and blue jeans when others are running around in T-tops and short shorts.

I grew up w/a space heater instead of a furnace and to this day LOVE to back my bottom up to a space heater and "bake it". I love "artificial" heat but do NOT do well at all in "nature's heat", especially if accompanied by high humidity. I'm prone to heat stroke and heat prostration. Starts w/the light-headed feeling, funny feeling in my ears, headache, nausea and then I'm "out of it".

What can I say? I'm a weird duck. turn

I used to always be hot, then I lost a bunch of weight (now 5'10 and 152lbs) and now I am always cold. I am outside bicycleing for hours at a time at 95+ with high humidity and no problem at all.

I'm always cold. During the autumn and winter, rather than make our home too hot for my husband to tolerate, I plop an electric spaceheater about two feet in front of me and train it directly at my lap. Even during the summer, I take a hot bath every night. It's ridiculous.

I overheat, but not in the same way. There's a part of my brain that doesn't quite get all the oxygen it should, so when I'm tired/hungry/hot/weak I become very prone to fainting. The most frequent triggers are standing up too fast and doing too much physical activity. When it happens, it's kinda like someone smacked me upside the head really hard. My vision goes starry, then black. Then I drop like a rock. I smacked my back up really bad one time, because this happened in the shower. Hadn't been feeling well, hadn't eaten, and the water was too hot. Smacked my spine on the faucet, had to have a chiropractor put it back in place.

I too am always freezing. The tempature here is 95 to 100 everyday I am always bundled in blankets. I get too warm when I am sleeping and start to sweat, but when I get up I am wet and just shaking cold.

I am prone to sweating quite bad, I do not know if it is my medications or the crohns..

i sweat a lot...i'll walk outside at lunchtime to grab a bite and when i walk back into my office im sweating like crazy- i guess it doesn't help that i'm in az...

I have low body temp, normally 36 c and so tend to feel cold, but when I do get hot I then find I have a job to cool down. Before I had ileo done when I had bm I would burn up and ended up having to strip of in toilet cubicle and resting as much of mmy body as I could against the cool tiles on the wall - well as much as you can whilst stuck on a toilet, even at work as would get so hot. Soon as I had ileo this stopped.

I've also found that I get hot flashes and my doctors don't really give me an answer.. it's almost as if I'm menopausal!

omg hot flashes were part of my life for years! i even carried the evian water spray so i can spray my face when it happened! but when i got off all my meds, they've all gone!

however, now i have been diagnosed by my sister and i with Renaud's syndrome because my finger tips and toes get blue with cold. my homeopath tells me its neurological and my GP says there's nothing that can be done other than warming them up with socks or gloves.

I also live in Arizona and have developed antibodies to remicade ..I think I was a four..I am waiting to get scoped and start humira also, we are also the same age.. Do you ever go into chat rooms? I go on at night, after about 6 p.m. Would be nice to chat with someone so close to home... Keep in Touch, Leslie..

Went on last night but didn't see you in chat room..we all go to the same room, it doesn't have to be the crohns room, last night we all went to "anxiety/depression". I am gonna see you there right?

U r not alone Lasardo I thought 4 a number of years that I was going through menopause but I was 2 young 21 its still happening..:(

I too am always hot...and it is worse when I am having pain...sometimes I feel like I will pass out...I have to have a fan on me almost all the time
