Need help different pain and dont know what it is

Ok I went to the doctor yesterday because I am having a bad back ache and I am hurting down low in the front. they did a urine test to check my bladder and kidney stones and all and it was clear. I am wondering if this could be from crohn's and if so what is in that area to cause pain. I did have a little blood last week from hemi's but that cleared up. any advise? Thank you Barb

hi there- just a heads up- even if a urine test doesn't show any blood it can still be a kidney stone. i've had plenty of them...while you're figuring everything out you might want to drink as much water as possible. that way if it is a stone you might be able to help it along...my stones have hurt 1st in the lower back and side (usually right side) and then as the stone moved the pain moved to the pelvic area....hope you're feeling better soon.

Sounds a lot like a kidney stone to me, also. While the urine blood test might show there not being any blood, that may not be the whole story. Usually an X-ray or IVP/CAT scan will show it.

If it keeps hurting, I'd get a second opinion.

And like mtgman said, drink lots of water!
