I can usually feel a "mass" in my lower right especially when I lay down. Not really flaring right now, I don't think, so wondering why it's still there. I was originally dx when my dr. felt a hard spot there and sent me for a colonoscopy. Could it be scar tissue? Anyone else have this?

I sometimes have this and I believe it is stool, stuck in my colon. Perhaps your DR palpated that and thought perhaps you had a stricture that was keeping the stool from moving through. When I feel these lumps I can usually move them along with gentle belly massage.

Don't guess Big B . Ask your doc. Sometimes we worry and it is worse than what really is there . I hope its nothing bad .

Yea I would get to the GI if I were you just to be safe. IF it is just stool then you should be able to manipulate it around by massaging the area. During all my small bowel series I was so amazed how movable all our bowels are - I had always pictured them staying in one place and just moving the food around with contractions. The lower right could be either small or large bowel

Do you have your appendix? I had a mass/hard knot in that area which prompted exploratory surgery and being diagnosed w/CD. Mine was a result of scar tissue that had formed on my appendix from the CD being at the Terminal Ileum, small & large intestine..If it had not been for that "hard knot," who knows how long it would've taken to get my diagnosis.
