entocort side effects

My GI just upped my entocort to 9Mg a day for a few weeks? will my face get round like pred?

Thanks... couldn't believe it when his nurse said to stay on 9mg for 3-4 weeks then drop. I usually try and taper quicker!

Entocort does not have the same side effects as pred. That is why it is my prefered steriod. I love entocort

I don't get any of the side effects with Entocort that I do with Pred. I so prefer it to Pred. The only thing I don't like about it, is that it takes a little longer to kick in. Hugs!

I didn't gain weight in my face or anywhere else on Entocort. I had side effects of headaches the first week, then they went away, and some insomnia. It didn't seem to work for me though:(

I was put on 9mg entocort back in August. Still on it. I do have headaches, but I can't specify where they are coming from (could be the entocort, birth control or stress from work). I don't think the entocort is helping though.

I have been on 9mg/day since June, I am just starting to taper very slowly.
they don't like you to be on it for a long time. I am having surgery so best to start the taper now.

When I was dx my dr wanted to put me on pred because my colonoscopy showed moderate inflammation and the beginnings of an abscess, but I convinced him to prescribe Entocort instead. Entocort worked well for me with almost no side effects. Hope it works for you as well!

been on it for over a year at varying levels from 9mg to 6mg to 3 mg and not side effects at all - definitely my steroid of choice :)
