ugh woke up in pain

Hi all, Today is thanksgiving here in the US and I was debating lastnight should I take 1 of my pain meds prior to eating to be on the safe side.  some meals I know will cause me extra gas and bloating but I stick with things on my safe food list for the veggies I do eat I make sure they are cooked so much they can be mashed easily (carrots green beans and the butternut is already mashed) but as of this minute I am already in pain so guess that answers my question

What kind of pain are you having? If its cramping I think I would take your Levsin. The antispasmotics are really good to take about an hour before you eat and help to stop the spasming. Hope you feel better and enjoy your turkey day meal, and yes take your meds if needed. Personally for me this is a holiday that agrees well with my tummy. We (hubby/I) are staying in just us. I am making a turkey breast and all the sides are friendly for my tummy. Except maybe the Coconut Cream pie:) But I will endure the brief discomfort. Hahaha...

I am going to take the coconut on top off, but really just eating more of the creamy center. Yummy!!

I have turkey, butternut, mashed potatoes, candied yams, gravy, cran sauce, bread, green beans corn, stuffing and prolly left a bunch out it is the 1st Tgiving Joe and I are married and the kids are here at least til they need to be at their moms at 3. I ended up taking a Levis at around 8:30 and it didnt do the trick so I took 10mg of Percoset and it helped. Now dinner is ready just waiting for the fam to sit down

I sure hope you did not eat that corn!!! I eat that I can be assured two days of misery.

I did well with my turkey day meal. My turkey breast came out sooo good. And I ate the coconut cream pie and no problems at all. Yeaahhhh!!

I ate a very little bit at my SIL (can you believe they didn't have stuffing, how can you not have stuffing at Thanksgiving?), but I am paying for even eating just a few bites. mad

I'm making my immediate family their own Thanksgiving on Sunday and I was soooo looking forward to it, cause it is all of our favorites, but now I don't think I will be eating much, if anything. Maybe a bit of the Hershey Bar Pie......

Oh well, there is always Xmas dinner, Yum

Gail I have to say I did in fact take 1 teaspoon of corn on my plate only a little but lots of cooked carrots and squash and taters yummy I had some horrible gas pains later while at walmart for black friday was thinking I could probably clear these darn register lines (and not in the insane way you heard about on the news). I was good tho I went to the restroom etc we had chairs and were not in the immediate vicinity where the fight broke out over some video game which was a new one I guess last year sad thing is a little girl got hit in the middle of it had a busted up lip and durimng it adults were not trying to break it up but cheering it on how aweful. With our financial issues this past year (losing 1200 a month so trying to have a household of 4 on 1600 a month is tight so my parents offered to get the kids a new xbox since theirs died last year right around when we took the financial hit. So to get what we were literally counting couns for we got a 400 system for essentially 278 after gift cards and sales. we have part on layaway too we are forgoing gifts for each other (well we got the $3 waffle iron there last night too since allw e have is a belgian waffle maker and to make 8 takes a while so this one makes 2 so we are going to wrap that to us from santa.

The things you do for your kids I never thought I would be one of thsoe out on Black Fri when they go on sale but when crap happens...at least the state upped our food allowance 100 more a month now
