I have been having ear stuffiness in my left ear. It feels like I got water in it and I haven't even gone swimming! It started yesterday. I will also cause my ear drum to vibrate a little. Very strange! Anyone ever have this? And it's one ear only. It doesn't hurt but makes me feel foggy.

I'm still having bloody diarrhea and it's been going on for over six weeks. The Rowasa alone has helped and that's what I've used over the years to help heal a flare-up. For the first time in years, it appears that it's not going to go away on the Rowasa alone. I've been reading advise here about going on liquid diet for three days then trying gluten- and dairy-free diet. That may help.

Exact same thing happened to me last week!! Left ear had a feeling of stuffiness, felt like I got water in there and all. I had a hard time hearing the TV and hubby kept wondnering what was wrong with me because we had to BLAST the tv. It ended up popping about 4 days later and everything was fine. I had a lot of problem with fluid build up in my ears as a kid and I think that it was acting up again. Or I could have been sick.

I don't think its Crohn's related. I just had surgery a month ago so (knock on wood) my disease shouldn't be active yet....and I get stuff like this all the time. Have you tried using the earwax drops?

about 8 years ago I had this same ''ear stuffiness''...in fact it just went from being perfectly fine to completely plugged in a split second.  My dr. prescribed an antihistamine, but said that he couldn't detect any fluid.  After a week with no improvement, I was sent to a specialist.  What happened with me was that I had contracted some viral infection that damaged the nerves in my left ear and has left me with some hearing loss.  I was on steroids for some time which did give me some improvement, but it will never be back to what it should me.  Don't mess around with your hearing...doesn't hurt to go have a dr. check it out.  In my case I have the nerve damage from this in my left ear, and my right eardrum ruptured several years ago from numerous childhood infections, so you want to talk about the t.v. blasting!  shocked    Take care.

I've had this several times over a number of years.  It's like trying to clear after a change in air pressure.

The first time I went to an ENT he gave me a shot of prednisone.  It cleared it right up but them it came the next day. 

Ususally takes weeks to go away.

are you also having vision problems, migraines, sleep problems, jaw pain/enlarged, a deep voice, large hands and feet, joint pain, night sweats, small skin outgrowths, facial feature changes that have happened gradual (check photos online)?

I get this too from a post nasal drip. They ent puts me on a steroid nasal spray which clears it up in a couple of weeks.

I have had this issue for quite some time. 4-5 years.

After 5 ENTs I got a diagnosis of a abnormal patent eustation tube.

Doc said he could help by doing a Mirangotomy, tube in the ear which he did.

2 years later no better and the tube weas taken out leaving a perforated eardrum which is slowly healing. However no real improvement to the ear.
