Well, it's true. You were always one of the first people calling for peace and fairness and caring for people who were struggling.

Great post, Ivy! I was one that disagreed with some of the locks/deletions and what seemed like picking on some members. However, I have always liked you and Gail and appreciated your kindness and compassion towards me and others. Hopefully everyone can move forward and embrace the changes.

I think it will be interesting to see how these new rules work out.

On locked posts, I know everyone has opinions on what might cause or cure CD and alternative therapies..Sometimes I have seen someone trying to advertise a product who gets locked out..We are all on the same journey and should value that fact..I know ill advice can get a site sued as well..I like to read everything from someone digesting worms ect..I value everyone on this board, and I know for the most part everyone's heart is in the right place..I did get a reaction from someone recommending Wellbutrin as a cure all a few years ago and ended up with a severe reaction..It was not the site or the posters fault..I would try just about anything to be rid of this DD forever!

There are much better posts than this one to reply to...ones where sufferers actually need some kind words of encouragement and helpful advice...this post is a wast of time, I'm sick of seeing it up at the top of the page constantly and will be happy when Admin finally locks or even better, deletes it. so much for trying to get it down to the bottom of the page earlier, oh well, at least I was able to respond to some important posts tonight!

Peter made a wise decision to unlock this thread. Let people get it all out in this one thread. Locking it down would have just allowed the underlying feelings to fester and boil under people's skins, new threads would have been started, those would need to be monitored and pontentially shut down. The true waste of time comes from the countless additional threads that get started on this topic when people should just make their thoughts & feelings known here.

(that sentiment does not extend to "goodbye" threads from long timers, IMO. I have seen these types of threads on other boards, and I think that there are common and necessary, regardless of the reason for leaving.)

This is like just like all the recently locked threads that have been discussed here. Clamping down on those topics made the whole issue worse. Ironically, many folks complaining here about this thread persisting are the same folks complaining about the other threads/topics getting locked down.

Re-troublemaker/s on site stirring the proverbial..........if this is true and this is what started all this off then stop for just a minute and think....This person is doing exactly what he/she started out to do...which is to have you all upset/bickering/flaming /leaving..etc......Let's get over this hurdle by getting back to basics (Helping/Healing)....i think i'm distant enough from all of you to see this at a different angle....if there are probs between mods/admin surely it's up to them to sort it out...privately and away from here.....flare-ups as we all know can be triggered by stress.....and it seems to me that a lot of you (rightly or wrongly) are allowing all this to stress you out...is that not defeating the purpose of the "Healing" in "Healingwell"?..........As i've said before...This is a great forum...The best that's out there IMHO....Lets keep it that way....Slainte

Just my humble opinion people-That statement is the root of all that that is wrong with this forum. People join to get info and support. Yes maybe there are spammers that come on once in awhile but that does not mean newcomers should automatically be ostracized.

How many people have joined and then quit because they were attacked or were made to feel they were not part of "The Group"?

This is a support group not a coffee klatch.

I reminded that poster that this particular thread was allowed open, because Peter felt
people still needed to express their feelings about what had happened!! Not to whine about
their problems with deleted posts!!

I've been coming here for a good number of years, and I have never ostracized anyone. I've
welcomed all with open arms , and lent my support. I remember when you first joined, I among
many welcomed you and listened to you.

We are a support group, but of late it seems to have become a debating circle, with heated arguments!
That's not what I want.

I too would like to see this thread locked down. It's become too much of a sounding board, and
yep I'm one the guilty ones!!

With that said, I will like many others be stepping away from HW for awhile. Please remember to
support not argue. This forum is wonderful and it should stay that way.

It's funny how often the people who start some of these awful threads, who fan them along, who create the drama in the first place, who make accusations and then threaten to leave the place (but don't), then call for the threads to be locked and for everyone to get on with it.
Well, I guess everyone is getting on with it!
It's my dark sense of humor, sorry. Please don't take offense at my observations.

I told myself I was going to say out of all of this but.....I just have to say that because frankly all these posts aren't helping anyone. So I've decided I'm going to step away from HW for awhile until all this calms down. I personally can't deal with all the drama.
