not that i've been feeling great for the longest time, but the past few days have been hell...severe pain (always have but worse) bleeding, running to the bathroom all day, waking up 5 times a night to hit the head.  this sucks!  and i have to go out of town for work all week next week!  darn it!!!  i really feel like muttering some other choice words right now.  i think i'm just going to try not eating for 3 days...yeah right i can never do that...i did up my pred to 30 so we'll see if that does anything...

do you think that fact you have to go out of town for work next week is part of it? Last time I had to travel on business I had a flare the week before and I am sure it was partially due to the out of town jaunt being an upset to my routine.

I managed Ok when I was away but was really tired the week afterwards as you never quite relax. Iended up in the hotel kitchen looking for a toilet at one stage - hilarous really :P

actually it was really funny as I ended up in the kitchen TWICE:

once looking for a loo and

the second time avoiding the lift (still nervous about being stuck in a lift post eartquakes even when I am not in Christchurch) and trying to get to the ground floor. I think the chef thought I fancied him ;P

haha. nice. i don't think it's the travel- i'm always going away- i was in Denver last week...i can never figure out what causes flares...i do know that stress of course is a factor, but that usually passes in a day or so if that's what is affecting my gut...i think my gut is just going downhill and surgery is in my near future-- which will be awesome bc our new health insurance through work is AWFUL! I will definitely hit the $12,000 out of pocket max in 2012- we're so screwed...my co went to one of those account based high deductible plans so the 1st $6,000 no matter what is mine to pay (on top of the $320 a month)...and i work for a huge co...so look out folks- if your ins doesn't look bad yet just wait...i think there are going to be a lot of medical bk's in the next few years (including me)...oh well time to pop a pain pill and try to get some sleep. night all.

wow I can't beleive how much you have to pay out of your own pocket. I think the only thing I ever had to pay out for any of my surgery was a paltry sum to rent a TV - we are SO lucky down under in NZ.

very sorry you feel it is just your gut going downhill - know how that feels!

have a good trip and stay out of the kitchen (unless they have a good looking female chef and you are single of course)

yeah its nuts! $6,000 deductible then 20% of everything til $12,000 then ins pays all. i'm so screwed!
