Meds might be making me sick HELP

I've been taking mercaptopurine for around 4-5 months now I think. I've never had problems with it (blood levels are always low) but I think it may be poisoning me now and I'll contact my doctor/get blood work done as soon as possible but in the mean time I want to know what everyone thinks...

I've been sick since Monday, December 12th (now being Saturday, December 17th) and none of my symptoms have gotten any worse or any better since then.

I feel like I have lost a lot of my energy. Probably because of eating less.
I've had severe loss of appetite, and whenever I do eat my stomach makes my entire body feel even worse.
I go to sleep and wake up with the same headache (almost a migraine). With headache pills I can lower it to a mild pain. Have had it for all 6 days.
Body aches range from SEVERE to very mild and are parallel with my headaches.
Random dizziness and nausea for anywhere from 5 minutes to several hours. (never enough to make me fall over or throw up yet though)
My stomach pain has been under control for awhile now but the past 4 days it's been getting worse whether I eat or not.
I have reflux and I'm still taking the pills for it but the lower left part of my stomach has a slight burning sensation.
Bowel movements are in parallel with my stomach problems.
Sleep doesn't help much. Only thing that seems to help is not moving at all.

Please let me know what you think... If anyone has ever had mercaptopurine poisoning before PLEASE let me know what symptoms you had and how long it took you to realize what the problem was.

I was on azathioprine and allapurinol together and everything was going fine until i got regular blood work taken and my hemoglobin was 5.9. I was immeditately admitted into the hospital and was given a blood transfusion. Then my white blood count dropped which means I basically wiped out my immune system. But, I felt ok. Other than almost passing out from lack of blood at the end lol. Hope everyhitng gets better :)

Call your doctor right away. S/he should know what's going on with you. Don't depend on the forum or wait to get sicker and sicker! I hope you feel better soon.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. What I was trying to say was that I was feeling fine also and something was wrong. Go to the doctor asap before it's too late and you end up in my boat. Hope everything is ok and you feel better :)

@tsitodawg Just yesterday all of my symptoms left and my stomach started to RAGE at me. It's still doing it. I ended up going to bed around 8pm last night and the pain woke up now. I Hardly ate anything the past week (and nothing since the pain started) but the pain isn't going away and for the majority of the time is 9/10 (I poked my upper stomach around where my liver and kidney are and they're really sensitive). Really bad aches in my back/shoulders/neck. My bowel movements also changed and are like dark murky green/black and its really weird but it looks like there's dirt or something in it. Little specs of black stuff floating around. Really nauseous too... Especially when I stand up. If it isn't gone by morning i'll probably go to the ER.

I called my stomach doctor and he said that the mercapto wouldn't cuase the random mild fevers that i've been having... Also I woke up this morning and my stomach is still a little pissy but I still feel SOOOO much better... He told me that if i get sick again I should go to the ER and that he can see me tomorrow if I want. Thank you for all the info and help tsitodawg, I really really do appreciate it. I think that I have some kind of stomach bug and it just randomly caused a bad flare up. Next time though I wont be stupid and wait :P.

I started 6mp a little over a month ago and have been experiencing headaches as well. They range from just annoying to debilitating. I'm starting to think about staying on Humira because the headaches just aren't going away.

Are you starting to feel any better? It's so hard to distinguish crohn's problems from viruses..."normal" people can assume they just have a bug, but we have to assume the worst...it all gets so confusing sometimes!
