I had my LIFT surgery on Friday and I have to say it went better than I expected. Of course I'm still on Percocet but I'm in less pain than I thought I would be having two days post op.
I will keep you posted but I feel like I was in more pain after my seton placement 2 years ago.....I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that I continue to heal and feel better each day :)

Great news, Shellie - I've been wondering how the surgery worked out. Please keep us updated on everything!

Just came along to see if I could find how you are going after your op. Glad the pain was less than you expected and hope things are still going well. Fingers crossed for you that it all heals nicely!

Than you so much for checking back in on me. I have to say that things have gone the best I could have hoped for. My surgeon said that it was very easy. I had the seton in for over two years So I had very little drainage by the time of surgery. I do have a drain that I wasn't expecting to have post op but that comes out Thursday. I took off a week from work because sitting has been uncomfortable but I am hoping to return on Tuesday. All in all I am so glad things went well and hoping that once the drain is out that everything closes the way it should.
Thanks !!!

Thank you for everyone's support !!! I am having some issues with this drain that started Friday(right before a 4 day weekend of course :))
I am calling the office today to see if anyone is in even though it's a holiday. I don't need to go to the ER but the drain shifting has created a lot more discomfort. I'm hoping he just takes it out if I can get in, although I am scheduled to see him Thursday to have it taken out.
I'm wonderng if any of the other LIFT patients had issues with their drain?
