swallowing

Ocassionally, some food or pill feels like it is having trouble going down;like it wants to get stuck in.my throat. Sometimes, I have choked. Is that common with someone with Crohn'z Disease? Thanks.

I have cd in esph,throat, and mouth, acompanied by canker sores, plus my taste buds on my tongue get inflammed so bad they slough off. when food gets stuck in my throat, it's because of those oncillias rings in my throat, the last time in er they gave me something in my IV that induced vomitting, and I thru up the piece of chicken. pred is the only thing that keeps me from possibly choking to death, before I could get to hosp. so right now it feel like remission, I'm only on 10mg, but when I try to go below that my throat just swells and I'll choke, it's no fun, pretty scary actually, goodluck.

I have a stricture in my throat for the last five years. I have almost chocked to death on steak, chicken, peas and my pills. I have to either crush or cut up my pills to get them down. I even got the endoscopy capsule caught in my throat and they had to hurry and knock me out so the doctor could put a tube in me the force it down. Good Luck, Mr.D
