Remicade while Pregnant?

OK so I am so new to this hole website but trying to find so other views on remicade during pregnancy. I am currently 15 week pregnant and I was on remicade for the treatment of my crohns when I conceived. After I found out I was expecting they told to to cancel my upcoming appointments and go with out that it was safer for the pregnancy. I'm now four weeks past when my last injection was due and am back to having frequent bloody stools again and lots of pain and steroids are not helping. Both my GI and OB are now suddenly saying "go back on it its a class b drug in terms of pregnancy's no proof it will hurt the baby no proof it wont. " I'm nervous and they have me scheduled to be in tomorrow to get back on the remicade. Any information that you know or any personally experiences that might help me with this decision would be helpful. Thanks so much.

I have two remicade babies (and a humira baby). Remicade doesn't cross the placenta until somewhere between 30-32 weeks of the pregnancy. That info wasn't available when I had my first child so I had infusions every 5 weeks throughout the pregnancy up to week 35. My kids are 7 & 5 now and healthy as can be. I also breastfed while taking remicade because the remicade molecule is too large to pass through to the milk. I am sure that you can rest easy while taking the remicade throughout your pregnancy. If you search "remicade and pregnancy" on this site you will find all of the previous posts that we have put up. That should give you a lot of good information.
