sorry to hear your in so much pain.. after my 3 resection and the onset of ostieo arthietest(spelling)... my primary doc, and my GI. doc decided to refer me to pain management, because I have abdomen pain, pain in my left leg and foot from having a club foot and 5 major surgeries on it and there attemps at reconstructive operations.. and my crohn`s pain from scar tissue and adhesions and looseing my sigmoid and half my rectum, everything i eat has a rough trip down and out, antway, thats the route i went for pain relief and it was a lot of getting papers filled out and then the pain doc`s review your record`s and talk to you and then once you both are understanding each other, then your told what meds they can give you.. or other treatment options..? then you sign your cntract with them saying no other drugs from doctors or the ER, with out telling them your going to a pain clinic first, I had to go to the ER, once after starting pain management, I told them about it they said no problem they just had to fax them my ER trip info,, why i was there, and what they gave me in the I.V. for relief, and that was it.. you`ll probley get tested at 2-4 month intervals for drugs in your system, no big deal, if not for the pain clinic I would be in the ER. about every 5 weeks.. if it weren`t for the cheats who go to pain clinics for drugs to sale for money to I guess to get other drugs.. it wouldn`t be such a hassle.. I had the one doc, tell me why they have to triple check every one`s records because there`s people who try and scam them for med`s,, all the time.. as the other reply said.
