t-dawg...I'm miserable. Help!?

You have helped me so much lately with your experiances & I have been feeling like death this past week. I tend to lose weight when I flare & I've been doing so good at maintaining it these past 3 months & not getting back on the feeding tube but I've been so nauseated, throwing up, and have lost 6 pounds the last two days I'm contemplating the tube now even though I hated it the last time it was in. Are you still having symptoms with your tube? Is it hard getting the equipment together when you want to be mobile? Any suggestions you can give me for the time being? I've tolerated yogurt today so I could take a lortab and that's it. I can't even tolerate water...Thank you a lot!

Is it just throwing up or do you have abdominal pain? A month ago, I suffered from something similar and I kept throwing up and was not able to tolerate anything by mouth and water was very difficult to keep. I was put on Nexium, Zantac, Zofran and Alizapride IV every 12 hrs and IV fluids for 12 days. I think you need to contact your doc.

Dawg, What do you mean by " I am not going to be around much if at all????" Keepingfaith...I don't have any experience with tube feedings, but I'm sorry you are going through such a rough time. It sounds like you need an urgent visit to your GI.

I just posted a general post to all of you that talks about the ER visit I just got back from :/ I have another infection now...Dang biologics..

I had the NG tube before tdawg, not the NJ. I got a zofran shot at home a few minutes after I posted this but got no relief. I am glad I agreed to go to the ER & didn't suck it up. If I keep losing weight I'm bringing up the NJ tube with my GI. The doctors & nurses at the ER were tempted to put one in because the contrast I had to drink for the CT(WORSE POSSIBLE TEST TO DO WHEN NAUSEATED)went straight through me, continuously. I was pretty happy though because I've been constipated for days ;) I get full way too fast after eating. When I go out to eat I have to order off the kids menu and even then I have leftovers..I have crohnic gastritis, Crohn's affecting the upper GI and bad reflux. I burp up a lot of my medicines & have issues absorbing capsules so I break open them and sprinkle them down my throat. I had abdominal pain/horriable nausea. I knew I was very dehydrated because when I was brushing my hair I blacked out this morning. Glad I got fluids in the hospital!

T-DAWG: DON'T LEAVE! :( I understand you not posting as much or even maybe taking a break but don't leave forever! Without you I probably would've stayed at home till my mom called an ambulance to ship me off to the ER. You have helped me soo much!

What I meant was nobody had said anything in this thread, and yet you still cried out to the mods. All on the basis of one person's opinion in a post which was deleted. That person has not posted anything since then (I saw the post before it got deleted).

With such behaviour, it is somewhat ironic that you are accusing others of s-stirring, no?

Okay, I finally read your wall o' text, Dawg. First off, this bit:

* This is a public thread, hence I have as much right to post in it as does any other member of HW. If you don't want folks to join in, stick to a private convo. You can't keep people out just because you don't like what they say, not on a public forum at any rate.

*No, you misunderstood my point about emails. You were the one who said you had received horrible emails and that they affected you. I was replying to that point, which I had specifically quoted. How you managed to infer from that I was criticising you for being "sneaky" about emailing other people and having a private conversation with them, I genuinely do not see.

EDIT: Deleted a bit of stuff. Rewrote some of the 2nd bullet point paragraph to be shorter and sound more neutral.

Edit 2: Just to make it clear, the 'well-loved' bit is a joke on my part, as denoted by the 'innocent-looking' emoticon. No dig was intended at anybody; I had no person in mind when I wrote it. Really, the joke was more on me, at how often I manage to put my foot in it, say the wrong thing, or whatever. In all honesty, thinking about it, that's not really an accurate reflection of the tone of the deleted post, 'cos I couldn't say that this time around I was being Miss Innocent. On the other hand, I do seem to have a track record of upsetting people by speaking my mind without anything personal meant by it, however.
