Lots of reading and research brought me to a better understanding of the immune system. In simple terms the "conductor" of the immune system resides in the gut. If the "conductor" is not healthy the immune system would not know the right thing to do. That's why it attracks its own. Probiotic, Enzymes, no gluten, ginger, turmeric, coco milk, coco oil, and other friendly and gut strengthening food should be consumed.
