pmedic,
Yes, you should definitely look into strontium. Also, if you are not already adding it: K2 is apparently critical as well, as is D3 (which I am sure you already know).
As far as making the chia gel, what it does is increase exponentially its nutritional content values. The way I make it is: I get a tupperware container put in a little more than half-way full of chia seeds (ungrinded), then add a little water at a time to it, stirring it, add a little more water, stir it some more, until the chia seeds plump up and the consistency becomes very thick and gel like. Then I put it in the fridge overnight.
In the am, you get a congealed thickened amost like bread-like consistency. I cut it up in small squares, and flash fry it in a little butter (you could alternatively use coconut oil instead), so that the exterior is crunchy. Then, depending on your taste, you can add a little salt to it, or a little sugar, or a little chocolate. This is one way to add some pretty powerful minerals and omega 3's.
BTW, my dog loves these treats (no chocolate on top of chia for her).
Let me know what you think of these once you experiment with them.
