Has anyone heard of worm therapy?

This is a link to a site where I read about worm therapy. I f anyone has any info, please respond. I would eat worm eggs to get rid of this disease.

I've read some posts on here about it before... Can't remember exactly what was said about them. Maybe search and look through some previous postings. Here's the 1st one I found:

Read through all of this. I'm currently on it. There is also a private Facebook group with many people who are doing it, a lot with success. If you're interested, you should join the group. Let me know!

I don't believe you have to eat the eggs (just the thought of if makes me shudder)

There was a tv programme on last night (UK) where a Dr was used to show how you get infected.A few droplets of water was placed on his arm(containing 50 microscopic worms) With a magnified focus they showed the worms burying into the skin (they belive the worms secrete an enzyme which allow them to do this) They then went on to talk about side affects like itchiness where they enter the skin and the host developing a cough. Next week they will be showing the host's intestinal tract(via camera) to show what happens next. It is only an approx 5/10 minute piece in a programme but interesting never the less.

Check out this link, there is a clinical trial going on for worm therapy. Worm therapy sounds weird, but it's gaining tractionm. gE antibodies have been linked to Crohn's, multiple sclerosis and some other autoimmune conditions. IgE is thought to have a natural role expelling intestinal parasites. maybe if you don't have intestinal parasites, IgE gets bored and starts looking for something else to do.

We tried it for my daughter with UC. Vixen, nope you just drink them back with water. At least the ones from Ovamed.

There are at least three types of worm therapies in use for IBD as alternative therapies- pig whipworm eggs from Ovamed (a German company that manufactures in Thailand now) which are ingested orally and normally never develop beyond larval stages before being ejected in feces, human hookworms, absorbed through a patch or bandage on the arm and which then live for as much as a few years in the small gut, and human whipworm eggs, which grow into worms and live in the colon for up to a year or two. I have UC and tried all three- didnt have that much luck, but pig whipworm eggs did blunt my Uc a little bit. There is a very active yahoogroup called "helminthic therapy" and a facebook forum- there may be others.
