I've held out long enough I guess. I just don't see the point in seeing my GI because all they can do is try to keep me comfortable till my Humira kicks in(if it ever does).
I woke up this morning with stomach pains so I just decided I'd skip a few classes till my stomach calmed down & then I ate a banana & took my medicine to prevent me from being too nauseated.
Well, after that I got extreme nausea out of nowhere & threw up 90% of the medicines I take a day. WHAT IS THE POINT OF TAKING MEDICINE IF IT ONLY MAKES YOU SICK?! I just got angry at myself for throwing it up & told my dad before he left for work that I threw up in the trashcan in my room(I couldn't run to the bathroom on time). He told me not to worry about it & he cleaned my throwup & told me to lay down & not worry about school.
My dad then called my mom & she called my GI. My GI bumped up my prednisone to 15 mg & told my mom he wanted to see me in his office this week before he leaves & I end up in the hospital in my city(His office is four hours away & he likes me to be in the Children's hospital up there so he can monitor me personally). I think my GI is contemplating what to do when I flare when I get off the Prednisone/how to control my plain/& what to do about my stricture symptoms.
My only symptoms are decreased apetite, unstable temperature, intense nausea/vomitting, stomach pains, headaches, low energy, trouble keeping pain levels stable, constipation, etc.
I just don't want to get admitted & am just wondering...what can a doctor do for me that I can't do myself in times like these? I'm going to see the GI either way I'm just curious as to what others have done in simmilar situations.
