need help!! for my crohn's

Hi I'm a 34 years old male and have three kids, I want your help because I'm tired of trying and no more willing power and physical.
My cronh's got me in hell and started around 1998, always sick bad cramps and always to the bathroom (Diaria) or Vomit realy bad skin now full of holes, (Large skin pores) had a bowel removement in 2002 did help but still sick and all of the above but was able to  work for longer periode, (More days) got fired in 2010 missing to much work and lower back pain due to (They call it mild arthritis due to cronh's and was always going to the bathroom, can't hold it in its GO NOW, at work no time to call for back up so stop the production,(Mill) can't go to the grocery without going to the bathrooms, if I'm lucky nobody will be in there because yes I will do it in my pants, can't go out of town for a trip because have to stop on the side of hwy to those toilette stations, some time cramps are so bad I fainted once that's after my operation imagine, lost my wife and kids because I can't work all the time no money to pay the bills, lost my house, family, van, 4 weelers (2), car etc,,,,,, now I have to pay child support, realy trying but with out success (receiving letters to cancell my license) STRESS! now I'm still not working, got let go again, now I have to do bankruptcy but still have no money for that, I'm working for myself at home building Cremation Urns for funeral home but can't pay the bills with that, Yes I see a Doctor for my cronh's and specialist and told me last year my cronh's back need another operation but dont want to (To painfull) my pain meds are realy not working for me, I dont want to sound like a addict but Percocette  where the best, was giving me the high (boost) I needed to go trough my days and was constipating me so I didn't have to go to the bathrooms all the times (But hurts when having bowel movement. now have no more plan for meds and have to buy my own meds but no money to even help myself, can it be the end for me or can I get some help? Please what can I do and where can I have all the benifits I deserve?

was on tramacette for pain, prednison, vit D but now "0" have no more money to get my meds but I see alot of people with a list of meds but my doctor dont like giving meds thats why I'm not feeling to good! but tried allot of meds and nothing did realy work, well for a while yes but nothing long term! by the way are you from Ontario? do you know where I can get info or paper work for disability benefits? or all the benefit we can get? food, pills, tax etc... realy need it, imagine I was a hard worker never stop with around 50 000$ in my bank acount! crohn's brought me to single and -500$, WOW! I just dont get it, ok get well and take care, thanks Kazbern.

ya I had allot of meds like I said but financialy its now imposible to by my meds! got fired from my job because of to much sick days well you know? and my doc dont like to give me meds because of my pass with it, anyway is there some thing else that would realy help me and not expensive? yes the carb is in my diet but agian so much expensive WOW! thanks allot.

Do not worry about your English, it is my 2d language too, I was born in Russia and now I live in the USA, so I totally understand how hard it is to express yourself correctly in another language. I understand that you have Crohn's, but both diseases are very similar. If you can pay about $20 US, order 1LB of Pascalite clay, this money or a little more to ship to Canada should cover the shipping, too. Pascalite clay should help with inflammation and pain, it works for me! If you read my post, you will see that I talk a lot about the Terramin clay, but for you Pascalite is a better choice, it is quite a bit stronger.

It Hurts Bad- Hang in there. I am 25 and have had UC since I was 14. I promise things will get better; I finally found remission a few years ago. I was diagnosed with UC but some biopsy samples have been called Crohn's. The only thing that has ever worked for me is Imuran, Pred. Sometimes if I know I am starting to flare I take the antibodics Flagyl and Cipro. It sounds strange but it works.

I am from the US, so I know nothing about Canada. Have you explained to your doctors about your medication situation? Find out as much as you can about disablity- even if you have to call a million places a million times.

I am sorry I am not much help other than that! I understand your personal circumstances and am sorry to read about everything. I know how it feels to suddenly have your life taken away from you and there is not a single thing that you can do about it.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having such a terrible time and I KNOW what it is like also! It is best for you to obtain your Provincial Welfare Disability Coverage. Go to the Unemployment or Welfare Center nearest you and apply as soon as possible!
I had applied for Canadian Federal Disability but was turned down years ago. I haven't applied again since I heard you have to be flat on your back and unable to move for them to cover you. That seems very UNFAIR really, for they think that if you can stand up then you can work, but there is NO WAY you can work with the constant runs if you know what I mean!
I have found a very helpful site at www.earthclinic.com and there I looked up alternative suggestions to try since I've tried everything to help my condition. Prednisone is one drug that certainly works, but one can not always be on that since it will thin your bones and other nasty stuff! Humira is another effective medication but one needs to fail every other medication before one gets to try it since it's expensive. It does have very bad side effects, so it is NOT completely safe, but you will put on weight and feel half decent again unless you get side effects. I got side effects of numbness of my feet and hands.
I'm taking Silver Hydrosol to help get rid of it and it is working well!
I had what they said was inflammation of my spinal sheath and so that's what Humira did for me! How nice I now have 2 supposedly incurable disease now! Strange that is and rather an odd coincidence to my way of thinking!

I was on Earthclinic.com and after reading there I finally decided to take Humic & Fulvic Acids by Leafsource. I'm sure that there are other makers of the stuff also. I found it soothed the horrible lower left abdomen pains and worked just as well as Prednisone! One has to still take something to slow down the runs though, so I take a combination of Immodium and Calcium! I had also discovered that people who suffer from Crohn's DON"T absorb Vitamin D, and I still had low levels of it after taking 2,000 IU of it a day! I now try to sit in the sun or go to a tanning spa, because without Vitamin D you will be more susceptible to weak bones and a malfunctioning immune system which creates a vicous cycle. There is much written on how Vitamin D affects the immune system.
Still things are not exactly the same as I was before I got ill, so unless they come up with a cure and a bonifide cure we're all going to be still suffering in one way or another!
As a sufferer since 1990 I am coming to the solid conclusion that the researchers are actually WRONG with their diagnosis of "A wacky immune system", and that Crohn's Disease is actually an infection of some sort. How can everybody have an "out of control immune system", and normally immune systems DON"T act up unless they are sensing an attack of some sort.
Of all the hundreds of people with this condition I can NOT believe that all of them have an out of control immune system! And I actually do blame the drug companies that only wish to feed us medications that DON"T really cure us, but make money off of us instead!
Every Doctor has his little list of drugs to use for this condition but do they cure? No they DON"T! And most of these Doctors will not even consider something that is a natural alternative to a drug either. It is a Medical System that I am a " Totally Dissatisfied Customer" of!
I know what it is like to not work, and to be poor, and to be scrapping money together for things, and to be running to the washroom at every turn, and to be without many friends, and to not go on holidays anywhere and to worry about traveling or attending social functions, and to be in and out of the hospital etc. etc. etc. I know exactly what you are up against because I'm in the same boat as you and I can TRULY SYMPATHIZE WITH YOU! We need to get the powers that be to WAKE UP and see the way things really are with all Crohn's sufferers! I hope that in something I have said you will be helped and take solace from, for it is the best that I can offer at this point in time, and I do REALLY WISH IT WERE NOT SO NEGATIVE!!!!! Welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry for alll you've been through, and how this disease has affected your job, your financial position. It's tough, very tough. It's bad enough you have to deal with the disease and then to add on top of it financial difficulty it adds another stressor you certainly don't need.



I would like to recommend a few things to you, which are easy, and inexpensive:

diet modification, supplements, and LDN, low dose naltrexone.

Hi It hurts! and welcome to the forum. Sorry you're suffering so much.

I'm from Canada. It sounds like you need to call up social services and the fed. gov't about getting the benefits you need and what you're eligible for. You will need to have your doctor fill in a lot of forms, and in light of your family issues, you might want to talk to a lawyer too.

As for your current treatment, it doesn't sound like your doc is doing everything he/she can do for you. Are you seeing a gastroenterologist in addition to your family doc? With such a serious disease as crohn's, your doc shouldn't be so hesitant to prescribe what is needed to get the disease under control, unless you have other health issues that are contraindicative.

If your doc isn't doing enough to help you, get a second opinion. I hope you will get better soon. Try to keep your chin up. Things will get better!

I was wondering if you can give me some more information on this humic and fulvic acid supplement.
- What were your symptoms when you started taking it.
- It soothed your lower left abdomen, does it mean that it reduced the cramps? I don't have Crohn's but UC, so not too sure what the pain is like, hence the question.
- How long did you take it?
- Would you recommend anybody to give a try, i.e. was it worth it?
- Any other information, you may think relevant at this point.
