Big Pat's fan here . Never knew. Much props to Matt light who nearly died from Crohn's complications in 2004, but went on to become one of the premier players at his position.

Yes I was a little confused when I read that too.

In reading the article . I was a bit confused as well but in reading it again .....
I think the writer is saying if Light had his way in a perfect world he would have had the intestine removed and it would have grown back and no complications .. .. I don't think he was saying your intestine grows back in the real world but in a perfect world it could .... .....because none of this happened he had the surgery and then complications etc .
Guess if we lived in that perfect world we wouldn't have Crohns though.
