Father Sews Son's Crohn's Disease Fistula Shut

The father of a 14 year old boy who has Crohn's disease sewed a fistula on his son's butt shut. An infection developed and the son ended up spending almost a month in the hospital.

The father was charged w/aggravated battery and representing himself in court took a plea deal in which he must do 250 hours of public service and serve 24 months probation.

I heard about this story. I was told that he did this because of not having any health insurance.

That's awful! So can the son sue his father for medical malpractice? Kidding... I defend medical malpractice cases, so that's where my head goes....

OMG, my butt clinched while reading this and I think I threw up a little in my mouth too! That poor kid!!! I cannot even imagine what terrible pain that must have been for him.
