Exam season has started at my school and since about
a week and a half before my first exam Ive been really nauseous. Before that I felt absolutely fine and had very minimal pain or sickness. Went for my colonoscopy and the consultant said he did see some redness and inflammation in the terminal ileum but it seemed to have settled from the steroids.
Anyway, my exam was on the Tuesday. The saturday before I felt very sicky and the night before exam I was physically sick. I went and did the exam but since then I have been feeling completely rotten!
On Wednesday I couldn't eat nor drink because I felt like I would be sick. I had hot and cold sweats during the night and only slept a few hours. I woke with severe nausea, really bad pain in my right side, a fast heart beat, difficulty breathing and couldn't literally stand. That day I hardly ate a thing, but sipped at Ribena, to get my sugars back up, and tea. I also had diarrhea.
I stayed off school today aswell. I woke up feeling a little better but still had very unsettled sleep. I have the bad pain in my side still and some nausea. I tried to eat some dry toast with a piece of ham because it has been so long since I last ate, but everytime I lie down, I feel like Im going to vomit or have diarrhea. I haven't drank since this morning either.
My consultant advised me to call him if I was feeling any worse, but I can't afford to be in hospital again, as I have upcoming GCSE exams, including a Chemistry module on Monday.
Can anyone advise me on what I should do?
Thanks a lot, Sophie x
