My son is set to begin a new drug study in about 6 weeks or so.  Does anyone have any information (good or bad) on this drug as we are running out of options.  He has had so many good reactions to drugs just to have them wear off days, weeks and months later.  He is also having extreme delayed growth - such a sad disease.

I was on this trial for 2 yrs and honestly I have NEVER been in remission w/ any other medication this was my savior for only 2 yrs because I started stricture. So unfortunately my time with this trial is up but it helped me for longer then any other medication. It is worth a try..... I was on the drug for 6 weeks then had me on placebo after the 6wks. I wasn't responding and they put me on open label. I had no reactions or side effects. Good luck to your son!

I take it your son has already had remicade treatments? How old is your son? My son is 14 and had similar issues. I was upset at his lack of growth compared to his friends. The remi is helping him catch up. He's had 3 treatments at the hospital so far and when I asked him a week ago how he is feeling, he said he forgot he had Chrons. I am a little worried though, as I've read many posts where the remi was working well, then all of a sudden stopped.
