I have altered my diet a few times and have been to see a nutritionist twice, but its so unpredictable weather it will work or not. Sometimes a food won't give me any problems but then the next time I try to eat it assuming it to be a safe food it hits me like a truck. I've even had problems with simple foods such as baked chicken, baked fish, pasta, mashed potatoes, etc...
Its just a matter of chance most of the time.

Perhaps trying out some of the diets many forum users find helpful. I was able to get off prednisone by starting the SCD diet, and others with the Paleo diet. Both diets are strict, canceling out grains, starch, yeast, sugar and dairy (for Paleo), as well as anything processed and artificial. I've personally found it to be a great help, and it may be worth giving a shot. If you can start out by going gluten free for a month or so, that's a great start. :)
