sore eyes?

on occasion i get sore eyes that feel a bit inflamed. usually my upper eyelids swell and turn a bit purple. i mentioned this to my GI Dr. but he said for CD it is usually the eyeballs that are bloodshot. does anyone else get this? my nostril always gets inflamed as well.. usually before i catch a cold or a day or two into fighting off a virus.

i went to the eye dr. about this a year or so ago and he suspected it was allergies.. i don't think it is.

You might try going to a dermatologist instead, and see if there is something amiss skin-wise. My eyelids will get super sensitive sometimes, especially to air blowing on them, but no redness or puffiness.
