Crohn's seems to follow me wherever I go. I just can't escape it. I go to an endocrinologist today to talk about
PCOS. And the doctor
opens up my chart online and talks about
my PCOS for about
a minute. Then she goes on a rant about
Crohn's. She starts telling me that Crohn's affects your bones and asked if I drink milk and eat cheese everyday. She then tells me how the colon works and how it supposed absorb vitamin D. So I should eat lots and lots of calcium so my colon can absorb it better. Because if not the vitamin D goes in my stool. And giving me tips on what I should eat to control it.
I was like why the heck is an endocrinologist lecturing me about
Crohn's? Seriously I just saw my GI last month. My Crohn's is under control and I'm doing fine. Well not only does she spend the whole appointment with me talking about
Crohn's I just looked on my account and under Diagnosis she put Inflammatory Bowel Diseases aside from Crohn's along with a ton of other diagnoses that don't make sense like Hairiness(IS that even a real diagnosis?).
Sorry for ranting. I was just so upset that everything has to be about
Crohn's. Is every doctor supposed to lecture about
Crohn's? Has this happened to you? I'd much prefer that to be mostly a GI thing.
