I'm really excited, but trying to temper that excitement as I start my first round of Humira tomorrow.
I've been flaring now for about the past year after being in almost complete remission since my last resection in April of 2007. This past year has brought on a lot of challenging, yet positive changes in my life. I just turned 30 and after having this disease for 25 years, I'm determined to win. My diet has changed to all natural foods (as much as within my control). I've been constitent with my meds, and adopted a New Year's resolution to be Positive. It doesn't always work, as I like many, have my downer moments. But we will win!
If you took the time to read this, I'd like to hear some of your Humira stories if you want to share.
I'm hoping Humira, along with my improved lifestyle, does the trick to get me back to, well, ME! I'm not worried about the needle. I feel no pain from B12 injections and have developed a pretty high tolerance for pain over the years. I've read the drug itself stings when injected... heck, that means its working right?! Overall I am being very positive about this process. I hope yours were as well.
Thank you for all your time!
