Labs came back with one of the inflammatory markers increased.  Could not hear my GI doc really well here at work so not sure which marker.  He is checking because of the long term chest pain I have been having.  THis marker makes him schedule a chest CT for next week.

Was so happy about no fistula...can't life just roll along happily for 24 hours!

Maybe it's just me, but why isn't your doctor doing the CT right away.  It seems like that should be something that if you have, should be treated urgently.

 

I hope things turn out ok for you.  Let us know how things go. :)

Thanks folks...Becky I thought the same thing, but he really did try to reach me urgently and is getting it scheduled at the earliest date available. Honestly, this chest pain is almost a year old so I am not as worried about the urgency. I have gotten a little more positive over the weekend thanks to my sister...I am now trying to focus more on this could solve my respiratory and chest pain issues that have been around a long time. I am wondering if it will also fix my temperature control issues and over heating with very little exertion.
Off to check my home v-mail again and have my cell nearby for any calls.

Aaah, didn't realize you were having the pain for so long. That kinda makes it a little less urgent.

I hope they figure out what's going on and there's an easy fix for it!

Well doc called me yesterday and had to leave work in a hurry to get the CT....and he called me last night at home with the results.  No lung clot!  Yaaaaa.  I did have an issue with the IV...simply could not get my vein to clot up after for longer than usual.  THink it was the stress and higher than normal blood pressure.  OK I am done worrying.  I have an endoscopy in September and if that does not dx the chest pain/pressure issue, I surrender and will live with the pain.I think my original dx of it's part of the start of menopause is what I am going with.  Vacationing from medical care for a while (will still take meds, but tired of trying to find the answers).

Hopefully the endo will confirm something. I'm wondering if you don't have CD in your esophagus? Prior to mine being DX I would get mild to severe chest pain, once that flare calmed down I didn't have the pain any longer.
