I have searched this site for bladder fistulas and found topics from about 4 years ago. Some info has been helpful.
I told my GI that my penis hurts and urinating was painful a year ago. He said it wasnt the crohns. I had my family doc refer me to a Urologiost. The first sit down meeting a had with him - he said it was probably the crohns.
Today a had a scope into my bladder and the Urologist doc showed me the bulge coming from my sm intestine pressing on my bladder. also right beside it was bubbles... which he assumes is a fistula.
Is surgury the only fix for a fistula? or are meds able to fix it?
If surgury is necessary? should a resection be done as well?
My BMs are great - pretty much normal... I dont want to wreck my "plumming" and end up on the can all the time.... as I work out doors.... and not near a washroom.
This is just a rant... these questions I will ask my GI.... but I like to hear what you guys have to say..... The GI doesnt have crohns - what does he know....
