I have a new blog out there for everyone to read.  www.aguywithcrohns.com  I talk about my life with Crohn's and offer advice to everyone else who has it.  My ultimate goal with this is to show everyone that they aren't alone with the disease.

Come on by and say hi.  If anyone has some feedback or would want me to feature something on it, let me know.

Thank you lamb61. I am trying to be open and honest so everyone that reads it and has IBD knows...they are not alone.

Great blog, I will be checking back frequently! It is nice to have a place where you feel like "normal". I do vent to family and friends, but sometimes I feel like I am falling on def ears since nobody really gets it. But everyone on here does get it! I CD since 1998. I also have IBS. I too have been on a slew of drugs Entocort, Immuran, Remicade. Currently on Asacol (10 pills daily), Levbid, Colestipol (5 pills daily) and I was on Humira 40mg injections once every other week. Been really sick last couple of months thought is was IBS which is why I started the Colestipol when I didn't get better they repeated bloodwork only to find the increase of inflamation so now my dr. said it is my Crohns acting up and he switched my every other week injections of Humira to weekly. On the weight loss side of things I really want to lose weight but at a loss how to do so. I gained about 40 lbs when I quit smoking a couple years ago and haven't been able to lose the weight. I can't eat what most dieters eat..........salads........yogurt.......veggies all bad for me! My body is better on potatos, pasta you know all the kind of stuff that you don't want to eat to lose weight. Anyway, thanks for starting this blog and giving me a place to "feel at home" and thanks for listening to my rant! :)

Sorry that your not feeling well Lauriebaby. I know what it is like to be on all the different types of meds with no success. Losing weight with IBD is no easy task. I have found that Weight Watchers does help because you can eat what you want..just in moderation. Something to consider and if you have any questions, just let me know.
