doctor says I do not have crohns diesease

in nov 6, 2006. the first doctor dianosied me having crohns diesease, 6 years later. colonoscopy... which is this morning, the new doctor says there is no signs of you having crohns disease gave me proof of all pictures that he took and all is healthy colon and all that. it never have a sign that having crohns disease. so, is the first doctor is lying so he can collect money???? ugh.. but he suspected maybe those food allergys was hidden for years, and why am I having flares.. and and stomach aches, and all that.. crohns symptoms. So, in 2 weeks will find out what excatly, am I having.

Any food I eat i get sick. such as breads, etc. depends even worse was fast foods, resturants.. or something like that. but there isnt no signs of crohns. is that really weird? or its common?

and why am I having diaherrea daily basis after I eat. Doctor says he thinks that I have food allergy, but He said need more tests to find out excatly what I am having. My first suspection is Celiec disease? but that gluten allergy. I have been eatting gluten, and all that and no more GMO processed foods too everything made by stratch.

  any ideas? or opinions? thanks.  opinions helps.

How did your first doctor come to the conclusion that you have Crohn's? And when your 2nd doctor says your colon is clear, did you talk about the small bowel?

Celiac is diagnosed by taking a biopsy during an upper endoscopy. Did your DR do an upper scope today?

i dont know, i have no idea. and at first time the first doctor never showed me the pictures of crohns disease in colon.. nothing.. but this doctor did.. he always give people pictures after the colonoscopy.

 I will guess have to wait til 2 weeks to see him again and ask him all different questions why am i having this and that.. and as well now you and i know that i do not have crohns disease.

 My husband knew and always knows that I dont have crohns disease. He thinks I may have IBS just like him. But he doesnt want to give me the real answer til doctor says what he thinks.

butt scope today not endoscopy. He doesnt think that is the case. I don't know maybe sometime.. im on heavy medicatied. so i try to remember. lol

well, you asked about the first doctor. He did told me he found the biospy in the colon.... and dianoised me having crohns disease... and now this doctor says i have nothing.. all healthy and clean. is that really odd??? since I seen the photos is perfectly clear.. no crohns signs or anything.

Did the doctor take biopsies today. Almost all my colonoscopies are clean but the biopsies show inflammation.
Do you have non-stop diarrhea, weight loss, abdominal pain and fever. This is what tells the difference between IBS and IBD. In IBS, you don't have weight loss and fever.

It's not that odd that there is no sign of Crohn's at the moment. It's a disease which comes and go, so there won't always be visible signs of it in the bowel.

The thing is, if you had Crohn's six years ago, then you have Crohn's now - it matters not a jot what the second doctor says. The only doubt in my mind is - did you have Crohn's six years ago? If it's possible, I think you need to contact the first doctor and ask him for your old records. For whatever it's worth, I'm sure he diagnosed you in good faith, as it would be a seriously major breach of the hippocratic oath to purposely diagnose you with a non-existent illness...

Diet-wise, going gluten-free for a couple of weeks to see if it helps your diarrhoea can't do any harm. I would not get hung up on food allergy testing, as, tbh, that is an area of nutrition ripe for exploitation, imo. If going gluten-free doesn't help, you could try dairy-free next. Or keep a food diary and see if you can pinpoint individual foods which seem to make the diarrhoea worse. I wouldn't go mad with cutting out foods left, right and centre, however, as a) you risk malnutrition through lack of calories and b) it can lead to anorexic type behaviour, which feeds back into a. Even if you have to drink shakes, keep the nutrition up.

Oh yeah, and to rule out Crohn's, you need more tests than a colonoscopy. There's the entire small bowel to explore, for a start, not to mention blood and stool tests.

yeah, there isnt no bisopises or anything all clear. and yeah, weight loss is dramatically crazy. Im 28. 5'1 tall. and average weight... 100-105 and all suddenly lately.. well been for 6 years... close enough to 96 to 104 the lowest weight i have gone to is 95 pounds.. and i want to go back the normal weight is to be in 110. i feel like im a ghost everyday.

yeah i am going to ask the first doctor to give me the records.. what the difference when he said i have crohns and now i dont what the second says. in the past i have biposy once.. and had ulcer. that what first one says.


about the food... i cut back milk, all foods that makes me sick. even fast food and resturants. rarely go out.. for a treat and knowing it will give me stomachache etc. and as well. i recently just cutting back the GMO products that have chemials in those foods such as BOCA chicken.. have GMO that makes me sick.. even sodas etc. and now i just recently just started to make everything raw such as kale.. make kale chips, tomatoes not to much, salads, pino beans any beans fritters, everything in stratch nothing chemicals or all that crap what we all usually buy from the store. and it does help me. and i am little worried about the health for my girls. have 2 little girls 4 yr old and 18 months.

is that right.. crohns people dont really get sick but morderate sickness... always get sick and always have problems... and im mild what the first doc says.. but i feel im normal except the diaherrea part. constantly.

will talk to doc in 2 weeks.. and need more testing like more than colonoscopy to rule it out.. actually have crohns or not.. 2 weeks waiting i will not have any patience lol

Blood work is also used to DX celiacs I believe...where I live, the GI's automatically test possible IBD patients for Celiacs disease as well due to the fact that the 2 conditions can be so similar symptom wise.

True though, just because there is nothing seen in your last scope, doesn't mean there wasn't CD seen before and also small bowel follow through tests must be done to completely rule CD out anyways since it's commonly found in the small intestines and a colonoscopy wouldn't go all the way through the small intestines.

I hope they can find out for sure what is going on with your health and wish you the best with it all.
