Well my story is long so I will shorten it. mI have had CD for 19 yrs and was in remission for approx. 16 yrs of those 19. Just recently I have started flaring back up, had a sbft, colonoscopy (still waiting on results from lab bn a week now, worried to death). Now I am having a real bad, real nasty metal taste in my mouth I have tried everything they recommend and still have it. If anyone else is or has had this problem plz plz plz feel free to msg me or leave a comment. tyvm

The only time I had a metal taste in my mouth was from taking Flagyl.
Hope you figure out some relief.

Yeah, are you on Flagyl or any other antibiotics? Those can cause metallic tastes in your mouth.

I used to get a random metal taste before I ever had any serious medical issues. When I looked it up, it was believed to be from bleeding gums, even trace amounts could cause it. Have any problems in that area? Maybe try flossing and listerine or something for a bit.

YES!!!  It drives me insane!  It doesnt matter what I eat or drink...it is always there.  It has been so persistent with this last flare.  I am on prednisone and Liaida and have been on those for sometime so I dont think it's that.  I was starting to think maybe it was a sign of anemia with all the blood loss that goes on with the disease, but I had it checked and my levels are just fine.  Not sure why we have this going on, but it is annoying!

Let me know if you find anything to relieve it!
