I have IBD and now have nueropathy in my feet and hands. I was told it is due to an autoimmune disorder and I have IBD. Any thoughts or advice? I am going to see my PCP Wed to discuss my lab results. Any thoughts on how to improve the problem? I take asacol X 9 a day. I also take sooooo many other meds for HRT, Hypothyriod, Depression/anxiety/insomnia, heart palp. diarrehea, migraines, adema, chronic sinusitis, and IBD. I am not that old so kind of frustrated that I am falling apart. I had a life threatening 9 weeks in the hospital 4 yrs ago and tried to get SSA/disability but I had to reapply again after getting it for the first year and a half. Still waiting to see if I can have a hearing again. I guess I am not sick enough but cant work due to headaches and pain and diarrehea. The y told me to find a job close to a bathroom. LOL. What should I ask my PCP? The Gastro doc says he does not thinkl it is crohns and it not cleliacs either been tested for loits of things but this latest nueropathy is the newest of the symptoms and the nuerologist says the labs are "suggestive of a autoimmune disorder" Yep....I know....I'm very frustrated and cant work but I love my life and have a great husband who is a nurse and is my best friend. So life is good, but lots of stress too. I have a small farm and an 18 month old and 3 grown kids too...so like I said life is good.
