How many of our members appear to be in harm's way from Sandy?

Will any of you be evacuating? Have any of you voted early? What precautions are you taking? What is predicted for your area?

In Philadelphia here,
No evac and haven't voted. We've pulled all of our deck furniture off, all plants in pots have come in, all bird feeders are in, and we've bought a generator in case of a power outage. We're supposed to get gusts topping around 70mph and 6-8 inches of rain supposedly. We'll hunker down and just wait it out hopefully.

I'm under a mandatory evacuation order but will not be evacuating. I've tied down my deck furniture and put my flower pots in the garage. I've also taken down all of my Halloween decorations. We've food, water and plenty of candles. We'll put the cars in the driveway as I expect to have water running down my street but do not anticipate it getting into the house. Stay safe all!

I'm on Long Island.  Forecast looks bleek.  I'm not in mandatory evacuation area but all outdoor furniture, trampoline, and the like are all safely stored in either sheds or garage.  Cars are garaged and food is stockpiled.  Have flashlights, extra batteries and candles.  Hopefully power will not go out but we all know that is a joke.   Last year during Irene we lost power for a week.  Storm surge is gonna be the worst they've seen.  Wish us luck here on Long Island and hope everyone stays safe :)

I work for AAA--We have policies in the mid-Atlantic region..I am a home complex claims adjuster that specializes in catastrophic events..We are getting prepared for long hours..I am moving in the middle of the week and will be working long hours for awhile..They are expected billions in catastrophic damage and power outages..

Stay safe all of you closer to the coast. I'm in western PA and we're expecting lots or rain and high winds. We have plenty of food and water and a back up heat source in case of outages, plus the neighbor has a generator we can borrow to run the freezers.

Getting ready for Sandy here along the coast of Massachusetts, wind and surf picking up. Settling down to watch a day of Criminal Minds, all happy until the power goes out.

Thinking of you all in Sandy's path. We've had quite a few destructive cyclones and storms here in Australia so we understand. I hope that you're all safe.
