HI,

This maybe my next step since Imuran gave me pancreatitis. Just wondering who likes humira? Why and what have been your side effects?

I'm on the UC forum too but crohn's/uc we're all a big happy family so I thought I would ask some people that are new to me :) Thank you.

A few years ago I was on Humira and I have to say it helped me for a year or two. It didn't take long until I felt normal. No pain, no bloating, solid bms. I had my life back. I used the pens to inject it and it really wasn't a big deal to be honest. After all us crohnies have been thru what's the big deal about sticking a very small needle in the fat of your gut. Honestly no big deal. It's unfortunate that after a year or two Humira stopped working. I switched over to Remicade and that was much more involved. Instead of the pen application at home i had to go to the doctor's office and do an IV drip for a couple hours. Remicade lasted even less time and since then I've had surgery and the rest is history. If for some reason I had to go back on Humira I wouldn't hesitate. The risks that they note are minimal...I didn't have any noteable side effects and considering my Crohns was pretty bad I didn't have much choice. It gave me my life back for a bit...priceless.

I have been on Humira since last February. After a couple of months, I noticed that I felt better and was hopeful that remission was going to be the result. But now, I don't feel any better than I did before I started using it and I am ready to just tell the doctor that I don't think it's working anymore. I hesitate because I don't know where we will go from here. I am on prednisone now too because I was flairing so badly, but there still isn't a whole lot of improvement. It's pretty depressing. I wonder if anything will help me or if I am facing surgery. I hate this disease.

My goodness ep49 I know how you feel, don't give up hope. One day we all may wake up and our body would have stopped fighting itself.

Have you ever tried the triple antibiotic therapy? That's helps so many people. Search in this site forum. I've tried it, it didn't work, but it has worked for others.

im on humira and hate it !! i feel worse now then i did before.. it could be me being all paranoid but after everything it just sucks.. i sweat alot almost like hot flashes, i feel like i have the flu , heart races , mind feels foggy too i have no idea whats going on

I am on Humira and have been for a couple of years and it has helped me tremendously. I have not experienced any noticeable side effects.

I've been on Humira for 3 years now and it is still working.
