I've had Crohn's for 12 years and am pretty lucky because I have to say that most of the time I feel pretty good. I take Pentasa daily. The past 3 months or so I've had lots of pain in my ankles and feet, which now has moved into my lower legs. It feels like the muscle cramping that you have after you have a charlie horse, but it's pretty much constant. Lots of pain and numbness at times. I went to see my regular doc and he ruled out arthritis and said the blood flow is good, and said it could be a neuropathy (nerve) condition, but said that it could also be related to my Crohn's. I know that I often have joint pain because of my crohn's, but do any of you suffer with this heavy and painful feeling in your legs as though they were made of wood? He said that it could be the crohn's causing inflammation in the tissues. I had a stye several months ago and my eye dr. said it was related to my crohn's also. What next? Going to see my g.i. next week. My next step is to a neurologist. Thanks so much for any answers.
