Hey there!!!

I'm new to this site. I love it tho. the problem I am having is nasty stuff coming from my vagina. It looks like poo but I'm not sure. I called my GI and he referred me to the gyno. it isn't painful, just in the way. I have to wear pads all the time and I keep getting UTIs. I would like to know if anyone else had had these and what was done for them.

Possibly a fistula - the OB/GYN can help figure that out. When I got mine I had ridiculous amounts of discharge, especially when I held it if I had to have a BM. I had a fever to go with mine, which was rare since I never got fevers with anything else usually. We put in a draining seton and are planning to do a repair surgery in February.

Yes, sounds like a fistula. Your gyno will probably refer you to a colo-rectal surgeon who can determine - through scope, or through imaging - what steps you need to take to help it to heal. Those steps can be anything from antibiotics to setons to surgery to ... nothing, depending on the severity of the fistula.

Definitely sounds like a fistula. I have one and it isn't fun!  I've been dealing with mine since Oct. 2010.  I have had to take massive antibiotics and have had surgery twice to place setons, and one FLAP surgery that didn't work.  I'm hoping to have another procedure next year and my c/r surgeon is bringing in a pelvic reconstruction specialist. 

Try to get a referral to see a c/r surgeon.  My GI was no help (still isn't).

it's just crazy. So I could have to deal with this for the rest of my life? I will cry. I know it has to be bad because sometimes poo comes out from it if I have watery stools. I won't get into a relationship bc of it and haven't for 3 years. I'm only 22 with a 4 year old son, I don't want this to ruin my life. and.com scared to death I might have to get a poo bag.

I just posted something about this. I'm having all sorts of weird stuff going on down below (discharge, itching, burning, bacterial infections, etc.).

I've never had issues with fistulas before, so I have no idea if what I'm dealing with could be one. I'm going to try to see my doctor soon. This is so uncomfortable!
