Hey guys, Happy New Year to all and best of health for 2013
I know this is controversial, but in my experience one area that most people don't understand is the impact that our emotions has on Crohn's Disease. This may not be true for some but with me and many others I know of that have healed from Crohn's, paying attention to emotions has played a major role. Here are some affirmations I have borrowed from someone else that has healed from Crohn's.
I have the right to express my emotions regardless of what others thinkI will no longer internalize my emotionsIf others do not share my feelings it only means that we are different individuals and nothing
moreI do not always have to be the strong one and hold myself together for the sake of othersDoing things for myself is just as important as getting things doneI need to let others know what I think, need and feel, or I will always be disappointed that they
are not mind readersOthers do not expect me to be perfect or have all the answersIf I expect this of myself I am being unfair and harshP.S. If you haven't read my story yet you can do so on my blog at www.joefigliano.com. My last thread has been deleted and the one before was locked even though it was the most active I have seen on this forum, I understand the reasons but hopefully this one can be a little more progressive.
