On Entocort but not helping anymore

Ok I am currently on Entocort and after 3 months feel that it is not working anymore. My BM's have increased and not decreased, still have have the pain after I eat, plus I am not sleeping very well. I have had Crohn's for 20 yrs, I am allergic to prednisone, pentasa, and sulfa products. I am trying to research other medication that will help I have tried all the diets, and all the things that people I have talked to and read about says help with no luck. I am looking for this info cuz I have a GI appt coming up 1/24 and I am gonna tell him I want to try something else. Any advice or ideas plz leave a msg.

Sorry that you are suffering. I have been on Entocort for a year now. What's the dose you are on? I think too you have to consider biologics. Did you try Imuran/Azathioprine and Methotrexate? Usually these are tried first before you reach the biologics. I couldn't find any relief on immunosuppressants but who knows may be it helps you. A lot of people find them useful.

I am on 3mg 3x day. I am gonna ask Dr about humira from what I have read it has helped alot of ppl
