Humira and HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

Wondering if anyone experienced high blood pressure while on Humira? I had elevated bp when I started humira 135/80s after starting humira it has went up to 160/100 - I meet with my GI in a couple weeks... wanted to talk to him about trying a different medication. Would love to hear your thoughts... ideas?

Hi sweetbabyray, I used to be on Humira my BP was fine. I had to
get off the humira because I had a diffirent problem with the med.
I have been in remission over 10 years.

Hi, I have been on Humira for more than 2 years and don't have high blood pressure. But I started taking a medication a while ago that did raise my blood pressure up to the 140s. A medication that isn't known to raise blood pressure but it did mine. 5 days after I stopped taking it my blood pressure was back to normal. So Humira might just rise your blood pressure. But it also may be something else.

Not Humira ,although Remicade did that to me also. after stopping Remicade My blood pressure is back down. I am Taking Cimzia now and it has not gone up.

I take it your pain level is down. BP goes with pain level also.

I have been on H for about 4 years I think.

I had unexplained high blood pressure for about two years, then it went back to normal. Never figured out why. GI was convienced it had nothing to do with the H. But I am not so sure.

I have always had just below average Blood Pressure and last week I went to the dr after being on 6mp for 2 months and it was slightly elevated. Not overly high, but certainly not as low as it used to be! 120/80! I have been working out more and eating clean for the past 3 months, so it should have gotten better, not worse, makes me wonder if its my meds too!
